چکیده

Abstract Aims The prognostic impact of flow trajectories according to stroke volume index (SVi) and transvalvular rate (FR) in patients with severe aortic stenosis (AS) undergoing transcatheter valve replacement (TAVR) remains poorly assessed. We evaluated compared SVi FR prior after TAVR for AS. Methods results Patients were categorized (<35 ml/m2) (<200 ml/sec). association pre- post-TAVR all-cause mortality up 3 years was assessed multivariable Cox regression models. Among 980 pre-TAVR assessment, reduced 41.3% 48.1%. Baseline status not an independent predictor (SVi: HR 1.39, 95%CI 0.81-2.40, FR: 0.86, 0.51-1.46). 731 early (5 days, IQR 2-29) recovered 40.1% 49.0% baseline low-flow. Reduced following (HR 2.08, 1.07-4.04) while 0.68, 0.34-1.36). Three-year estimated lower as (13.3% vs 37.7% vs, p=0.003) similar normal (p=0.317). Conclusions mid-term among all-comers AS TAVR. Flow recovery frequent. Post-TAVR FR, but SVi, independently associated mortality. By impacting status, AV modifies the outcomes.

Transvalvular Volume Flow Rate in Valvular Aortic Stenosis

Background Valve areas derived by the Gorlin formula have been observed to vary with transvalvular volume flow rate. Continuity equation valve areas calculated from Doppler-echo data have become a widely used alternate index of stenosis severity, but it is unclear whether continuity equation valve areas also vary with volume flow rate. This study was designed to investigate the effects of chang...

Survival by stroke volume index in patients with low-gradient normal EF severe aortic stenosis.

OBJECTIVE Low-gradient (LG) severe aortic stenosis (AS) and preserved EF with reduced stroke volume are associated with an adverse prognosis, but the relationship of stroke volume index (SVI) with mortality among a range of values is unknown. We investigated the prognostic impact of SVI in this population. METHODS We examined 405 consecutive patients with preserved EF (≥50%) and severe AS (va...

Severe aortic stenosis with low transvalvular gradient and severe left ventricular dysfunction:result of aortic valve replacement in 52 patients.

BACKGROUND The outcome of aortic valve replacement in patients with severe aortic stenosis, low transvalvular gradient, and severe left ventricular dysfunction is not well known. METHODS AND RESULTS Between 1985 and 1995, 52 patients with left ventricular ejection fraction (EF) < or =35% and aortic stenosis with transvalvular mean gradient <30 mm Hg underwent aortic valve replacement. The mea...

Correlation between systolic transvalvular flow and proximal aortic wall changes in bicuspid aortic valve stenosis.

OBJECTIVES The purpose of this study was to analyse the correlation between preoperative systolic transvalvular flow patterns and proximal aortic wall lesions in patients undergoing surgery for bicuspid aortic valve (BAV) stenosis. METHODS A total of 48 consecutive patients with BAV stenosis (mean age 58 ± 9 years, 65% male) underwent aortic valve replacement (AVR) ± proximal aortic surgery f...
